About Us
About Jay-Hawk
A Brisbane business selling real machines at honest prices, backed by a bloke who answers his own phone.
Who we are
Jay-Hawk Diggers is an Australian mini excavator dealer based in Arana Hills, Brisbane. We sell compact excavators from 1 to 2.9 tonnes and electric loaders, delivered to every state and territory.
Jay-Hawk was started in 2026 by Jeremy Melhop. The idea was simple: bring in solid, commercial-grade machines direct from the factory by the container, include everything you need to start digging, and price them so owner-builders, farmers and tradies can actually afford them.
How we do things
- Day-one ready. Every machine ships with a quick hitch, buckets, ripper and auger at no extra cost.
- Honest pricing. Prices from $9,200 inc. GST, with freight quoted at the real cost to your address. No inflated flat rates.
- Backed after the sale. A 2-year manufacturer's warranty, and our certified plant mechanics at BHS Equipment in Rocklea. If a machine has a problem, we inspect it and repair, replace or refund at our cost.
- Talk to the owner. Call 0422 999 583 and you get Jeremy, not a call centre.
The person behind it
Jeremy is also a field rigger and technician in the Australian telecom industry, working at height on towers and rooftops across Queensland and beyond. That work taught him to rely on gear that does the job and to buy from people who back what they sell. Jay-Hawk is run the same way.
Part of Jay-Hawk
Jay-Hawk Diggers is one half of Jay-Hawk. The other is Jay-Hawk Communications, which supplies telco site materials to riggers and telecom contractors across Australia. Read about the launch.
